For the hubs and I? Ours is more serious, but sweet. God Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts...yep, first song at our wedding and the song we decided early on was meant for our relationship. Each of us had been through our fair share of ups and downs in relationships by the time we found each other (at a relatively young age...he was 20, I was 22), but we felt that this song was perfect for us. To this day I get a warm heart when I hear and it brings a smile to my face.
The best part of this song and so many others? My #HTC8 has some killer sound....just ask the kids at school, they want to steal it from me to use during the day. (Nice try kiddos, nice try.) I'm also pretty pumped for this little lady to arrive so I can get my workout on all while enjoying some amazing sound quality so I don't have to hear myself huff and puff. ;)

I love posts like this... make me all sentimental. :) One is "The Promise" by When in Rome. Cheesy 80's songs, especially this one, seemed to fit our relationship really well. Our other song is "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis. I generally don't like Elvis, but while we were trying to pick our song for our first dance, this one came on and I immediately burst into tears. I still get misty when I hear it!

ReplyDeleteI am a huge 80's hairband fan and this is one of my favorites. When we were planning our wedding and I was picking our song to dance to I knew this was the one because when I would have a bad day Shawn would say to me "Let me see that smile," I would give him a huge cheesy smile and we would laugh making things better.
Awww that is so nice and sweet. Let me think. Hmmm, our favorite song now is Thousand years by Christina Perri. I know, so mainstream right? :D
